How to put your name below a photo
- Add the photo and type the name. Capital letters are used by default because they read best at small sizes.
- Choose the pixel size and the KB range your form or ID card asks for.
- Download: the name sits in a white strip under the photo and is sized automatically to fit the width.
Where a name under the photo is needed
- Application forms that ask for the candidate’s name below the photograph.
- School and office ID cards, staff boards and attendance sheets.
- Event badges and team pages where every photo needs a caption in the same style.
Long names
The text size is chosen so the whole name fits in 94% of the width; very long names get smaller letters. If yours is too small to read, use initials for middle names or choose a wider pixel size. To add the date as well, switch “Show” to name and date.
Frequently asked questions
Will the name and date cover my face?
No. By default the strip is added below the photo and the photo is fitted above it, so nothing is covered. You can also put the text on the bottom of the photo if your form asks for that.
Which date should I write?
Use the date the photo was taken, unless your form says otherwise. Many exam forms ask for a recent photo (often taken within the last few months) with that date on it. Choose the date format your notice uses, for example DD/MM/YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY.
How is the file kept between the minimum and maximum KB?
The tool tries JPEG qualities until it finds the best one under your maximum. If the photo is still smaller than your minimum, invisible padding is added to the file (the picture doesn’t change), so the size lands just above the minimum.
What pixel size should I choose?
Use the width and height in your form’s instructions. 413 × 531 px is 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI, the usual passport-photo shape; choose “Other size” to type any size. The photo is cropped to that shape, and you can move and zoom it.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.
