How to make playing cards with your own photos
- Add your photos. 54 photos give every card (and both jokers) its own picture; fewer photos are used in turn.
- Choose the deck: 52 cards, 32 cards (7 to Ace) or 24 cards (9 to Ace, for euchre), with or without jokers.
- Design the back: a classic patterned back with your family or team name, or a photo of your own.
- Download the PDF and print double-sided on card stock, then cut along the crop marks.

| 24-card deck | 3 + 3 |
Printing tips for cards that shuffle well
- Paper: 250–300 g/m² (90–110 lb cover) card stock, matte or satin. Very glossy paper sticks together when shuffling.
- Double-sided: the backs are laid out mirrored, so print both sides and flip on the long edge. Print one test sheet first and hold it to the light to check the alignment.
- Cutting: a paper trimmer and the crop marks give straight, equal cards; round the corners with a 1/4 in (6 mm) corner punch.
- Sleeves: standard 63.5 × 88 mm card sleeves make a home-printed deck last for years.
Gift ideas
- A family deck with grandparents, cousins and pets, for holidays and long car journeys.
- A wedding deck with the couple’s photos as favours for the card tables.
- A team or office deck, or a travel deck from your best trip photos.
Frequently asked questions
How many photos do I need?
Any number from 1 to 54. With 54 photos every card is different; with fewer, the photos are used in turn across the deck.
What size are the cards?
Standard poker size, 2.5 × 3.5 in (63.5 × 88.9 mm), the same as most store-bought decks, so they fit card boxes and sleeves.
How do I print them double-sided?
Tick “Print card backs”. Every sheet of fronts is followed by a sheet of backs with the columns mirrored; print double-sided and flip on the long edge (portrait sheets). Then cut along the crop marks.
What paper should I use?
Card stock of 250–300 g/m² (90–110 lb cover), or photo paper glued back to back on thin card. Round the corners with a corner punch for a shop-bought feel; sleeves make them last.
Can I play real games with them?
Yes. Each card has its rank and suit in two corners, so it works for any game. Choose 32 cards (7 to Ace) for games such as piquet or belote, or 24 cards (9 to Ace) for euchre.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The cards are made in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
